It's My Past. No more please

Bismillah..
ASsalamu'alaykum..

SubhanAllah.. One evening a dear friend of mine asked, with enough confusion on her face (obviously), "Why would you feel so much disturb whenever there's music playing on?"

I couldn't think of any better answer, "Because i used to love it so much"

I understand why couldn't she comprehend this 'weird' thing she found in me. Why wouldn't she feel that way anyway. In the middle of nowhere, 'those' songs were sometimes played n i couldn't sit peacefully, restless and worse i just got up and excuse myself. I WALKED AWAY.

Yea.. I used to love these songs. But not anymore. Now, i HATE them.
I really hate thinking of how much has all these songs taken my time in past.
Hate thinking how much had i wasted my life
Hate thinking how much had them bring me away from spending more time seeking knowledge
Hate most thinking how much had this life of delusion taken me away from Allah.

Life of delusion? Uhuh. Over-preoccupying mi life with MUSICs. AS if life is empty, null, boring without music. Sounds familiar?

I'm not gonna tell you the rulings on music- prohibited or not? In what sense? Prohibited instruments, etc this time. Just clarifying my preference of Al-Quran over music. I listen to nasheed songs sometimes too, but without instruments and VERY rarely.

You see, i was raised up with music. It was was my passion, REALLY was.

My schoolmates know this well.

Wallahi i wish you girls read this post of mine. WAllahi i miss you girls.
I miss how we used to rehearse our parts (choir, singing contest) and how i used to watch you girls dancing waiting for my turn to practise my songs. And wanting to learn how to play piano after done practising our parts (choir) in our school mainhall.

But now, i've changed. You girls can obviously see this from me. Wondering what's happening to me, disappearing for almost 2 years then wala! Me with her big hijab n now NIQAB. And guess you were shocked to discover me last time with this 'shield' on my face too.

When Amir Muhaddith (if i spelled his name right. Known as 'Loon' before reverting to Islam, a former rapper with Bad Boys recording, used to be famous in one of his songs feat with Usher: 'I need a Girl'- again, if i spelled it right) was asked during his talk in my university to perform an 'Islamic Rap' or music or SOMETHING, he refused. He was telling them not to 'bring' him back to his past life and that if possible, he would never wana go BACK to his past life- MUSIC. Wallahi i felt like he had my words! The exact spirit, dilemma, determination! Imagine, it's part of your past-jahiliiyah life that you wanted so BADLY to leave for the sake of Allah and now turning your WHOLE new life to something better that is THE QURAN, beautiful words of Allah but out of sudden, a person comes to you and telling you to 'go' back to that which you don't even want to come near to? And to some people, sometimes, when you tried your best to politely refuse and still they insist, that's the moment they will be shocked to see the 'weird' part of you: angry, unexplainable disturbed+mixed emotions seen obviously on your face and worst to be labelled as being extreme when you walk away. SubhanAllah..

Allah knows best that you were not trying to be rude.
Allahu yahdina.

And it was just a moment ago, i told to myself, "Oo my god, i miss to sing again".
Then i asked, "Then why are you here?"

Purpose of life?
Worship Allah. Please Allah.

How?
Pleasing HIM. Gain knowledge to know what are the things taught in this perfect, complete and beautiful deen, understand, practice, teach and share! Keep purifying intention, actions, nafs- for HIS sake alone. InshaAllah.

What if you forget and become heedless and ignorant again? (Just in case if i do- wa'iyadzhubillah!)
Turn to HIM, seek HIS forgiveness. Ask HIM to guide you. Then leave sins. Istiqamah.
*And tell your close companions to keep reminding you*

Why i wrote this out of sudden? Hehe. Had TOF conference before. Were listening to its theme song. The non-instrumental song reminded me A LOT of my prev life. Guess my iman was so low that i started to miss all those seemingly 'great' time i had with my ol friends on the stage, rehearsing with those so called cool songs sang by 'cool' rappers n singers yet adding more misery and emptiness to the heart. Hip hop. R&B pop. And those curses in raps? They were not cool after all..

Astaghfirullah.

REAL PEACE is in the remembrance of Allah.

Bismillah. Assalamu'alaykum..

"I hate it when my love towards HIS creation is in conflict with my love towards THE CREATOR (Allah).."

Recalling on what a very dear friend of mine once said to me.. True indeed. It leaves you a DEEP CUT to the heart when you are battling with your evil nafs which tries its best to get its place in your heart instead of leaving your heart in peace in HIS remembrance- NO conflicts. NO restlestness. NO worries. Only tranquility. Happiness. Peacefulness. Conviction. Strong faith and love to Allah.

*How easy is life if you could just be like all those superheroes shown in the scenes, where you could just fight and defeat those wicked-ugly-evil monsters and the battles just end there!*

CUT.

Be real ukhty.

Well, that's how you used to see life as when you were kids. How innocent!

Allahu musta'an..

Your love towards your mom, dad, friends or anything that pleases you in this beautiful world can either be one of your best means to come closer to The Ever-Forgiving Rabb or a barrier between you and HIM. Wa'iyadzhubillah. What pain can be worse than being allieniated, away from The Forever-Needing Rabb, Allah? When HE said in HIS love letter many times to those who choose to believe, never will we be able to find other Protector, Guardian or Best Friend other than HIM. How can we still look after one other than HIM after knowing this?

Again, everything in this world, which has helped you to live your day, comes from HIM alone, The All-Sustainer and The All-Provider, Allah. They are all MEANS. Up to you now on how you 'use' them. Thanks Allah before them. All praises due to HIM. Alhamdulillah.

When things get tougher in life, know that HE who knows everything hidden and shown, small or big, is teaching you something. Because that's human, we learn best from experience. It's time to get theories into practices eyh? Sabr, syukur, redha, tawakkul, love, fear, hope. InshaAllah. Allah alone our source of guidance, strength and support. :)

People..

They might question you lots of things. Expressing to you their concern and worries. Yes. They love and care about you. True. You are listening to them too. But not all things you can obey or follow. What's left there to obey if it contradicts to HIS obedience. Verily there's no obedience to the creations over The Creator. Yes. Thank them for their concern. Explain to them why you couldn't agree with them this time. If they resist, be patient. Hold firm to HIS rope. Innallaha ma'assobirin..

I know you love them, but i know you love Allah more. So it's your duty to please Allah while being as hikmah as possible to be nice to them.

When everyone seems not understanding you, what you are going through, nor they believe you, no worries, don't be sad, turn to Allah. He's there and will always be. InshaAllah :)

"Allah alone can mend the broken heart, He alone can bring all the broken pieces back together. That's how HE does to your broken heart. It's easy for HIM. You just need to turn back to HIM.."

Maybe i've been too far from HIM all this while. Khayr. O Allah, I'm back. (Please don't leave me!!) *emo*

Hey, Allah is testing you, grab the chance to gain more reward eyh?

All in all, never will Allah be injustice to you- Did HE ever? Nope Alhamdulillah. :)

ps: Can't help myself from being sad.. Well, i'm being human. Give yourself a break. Forgive. Leave to Allah. Just do your part. He'll take good care of you. Just as HE always do. InshaAllah..

﴿قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللّهِ ..

He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah , .

LOW IMAN: Switch it on!

Bismillah. Assalamu'alaykum!

Writing this post this time to remind myself first and foremost to humble down my un-resolved egoism. SubhanAllah. There are times you know you need Allah most but sadly, sometimes we ignore the 'call' to return to HIM. Astagfirullah..

Ok. Low iman. Fine. Iman goes up and down sometimes. Roger that. So forgive yourself. Done. Know that you are not an angel, you are A HUMAN BEING. Notified. (Reality strikes. Yikes!)

You know, there are things that we know Allah and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s) hate and that you try your best to avoid them or refrain yourself from getting indulged in. Tho' sometimes it seems sooooo hard to do so. Allahu musta'an. This is the BEST moment i'll tell myself: "Be patient my dear. Expect awesome and LOTS of rewards from your Lord!" Yeay! InshaAllah..

Free-mixing + too much music + vain talks + idol talks + backbiting + slaughtering, and MORE.
Astaghfirullah.. How poisonous all these could be to your eman and the soundness of your heart. Even if you are innocent, you are not committing all these sins when people surround you do, they sometimes affect you (you know how terrible and disturbed your heart feels when your friends backbite others friends of yours, etc)

*Imagining the unwashed-black-rotten-pan = colour of our sick heart*
Eeewww.. Na'udzhubillahi min dzalik!

Then.. Over a period of time, living in this kinda-sickening environment, your eman might go down (!)

And this is the moment you need something/someone to 'switch' on your eman if you couldn't reach for it (when the main switch is too high! Help me!).

Get good friends who love+fear Allah so so much to help you out. They might help you to figure out what 'poisons' have you consumed that severe your eman and suggest cure.

Or maybe it's time for you to change to new environment, do hijrah to better-friendlier one that can support you to improve yourself to better practising your deen. (But if you couldn't, fuh. Gotta fear Allah as much as you can-fear out love towards HIM! Man.. You don't wana displease HIM, do you? Wa'iyadzhubillah!)

Or start removing all those heart-aching and head-paining songs in your ipod or any mp3/mp4 player and put on eman-generating or eman-boosting lectures to get you motivated thru'out your whole day. You know, when our eman is disturbed, everything that we do seem so wrong. So fix the root cause first. InshaAllah :)

Yet, THE BEST: Al-Quran, of course. Listen, read, ponder upon its meaning.. SubhanAllah. So many 'treasures' yet to be discoevered! Dig dig dig the wisdoms and lessons learnt. Be inspired with its beauty and power of healing to any spiritual sicknesses. It works best for me so far, alhamdulillah :)

And don't forget to make du'a to Allah. He The One who holds our heart day and night, with or without our conscientiousness (did i spell it right?), has the ability to turn and twist it. Wow, that's seriously put our head straight! Turn to HIM. Ask HIM to help you to strengthen you faith over calamities and keep it 'fresh' in thankfulness to HIM in times of ease. Have faith in HIM, inshaAllah HE will not forsake you :)

ps: Recalling on 3 things Ibn Qayyim once mentioned- that contribute most to weakness of our eman: Too much intermingling or socializing, excessive eating and excessive talking (or was it sleeping?)

O Allah... Help me to help myself to remember YOU....

Finding Your Way: Stop Living a Dream

Assalamu'alaykum..

Just finished watching a GOOOOOD video. MashaAllah. You've gotta watch this too!

Specially for those who are still in search of the truth- not knowing which path to take, how to trace and how to stay on that path you are convinced to be- TRUE. :)

FINDING YOUR WAY by Bro Nouman Ali Khan (NAK) with Bro Eddie in The Deen Show

"I used to go to pub, disco, have girlfriends, doing this haram thing and doing that... etc..."

Now you want to change. Or you are changing and improving (alhmdulillah!)

But one thing bothers you a great deal:

"Which path should i take? How to start? How to remain on this path i'm taking?"

You see, when we ask for direction, it means we are asking for guidance, agreed? And..... there must be people before who sincerely asked this same direction (that you are now asking for too). And...... there must be other people who led these to this direction/path. Uhuh. THERE MUST BE.

But the issues here:

Some don't follow that direction given to them (but they asked for it before) tho' they are SHOWN the direction clearly. They see the truth but DISREGARD it, they IGNORE it.
Some accept the guidance, wanting to follow the direction but they add 'FLAVOUR' to the guidance according to their own wimps, lusts, desires. Thus get confused and deviated (!)
Some accept the guidance as the way it is, trace the path as directed and walk upon the same path of those sincere people who looked for same path.

May Allah protect and save from becoming those who deviate and increase in guidance. Amin!

Bro NAK's advice to finding your way to the truth:

Be sincere to your Creator.
Accept HIM as your Lord.
Ask HIM (sincerely!) to show you the path; and
Ask HIM to show you those who walked down the same path and succeeded.
Ask HIM to keep you away from those who walked down the path but then get LOST-went astray or earned God's wrath.

What are our 'measuring stick' to know, maintain our search in truth?

Well.. you have to watch to know more!

SIMPLE FORMULA (yet dofficult for some people to do) to find and stay firm on the path of truth:

Sincerely put time (and effort!) into doing this.
Take yourself AWAY from distractions and delusions that take you away from this quest of truth.
Since you have asked sincerely to your Lord to show you the way, BE READY to whatever you will get (be submissive), put your ego on the ground-as you might find the truth opposed to your desires and wimps.. (i believe this is the toughest part. May Allah give strength! amin)

Great analogies, stories and explanation he gave especially the one regarding our best asset in life: TIME.

It's scary to discover the real fact about time. SubhanAllah!

Telling this to myself-first and foremost-before others..

Yup. We all want to go Jannah! inshaAllah!

But jannah IS NOT CHEAP..

Gotta work hard for it!

Think 'INVEST' not 'SACRIFICE'

Whatever we do, do them sincerely for HIS sake alone and in correct manners (based upon profound knowledge!)

(So don't waste our time!)

Thank Allah that HE gives us chance today to work on our eeman. Alhmdulillah!

Let's booooosst it up more during this special month of 'SOUL-RESURRECTION'.

His famous quote in class. Now they stuck in my head.

Good. At least i'm aware now. "You. Bad Muslims!"

Will always remember that.

Everything we did in class-for all the mistakes, it was us to be blamed, and we should be.

"Your group project's grade reflects you and your group members! Your attitude! NO unity and cooperation among you! How can you call yourself 'MUSLIM'?!"

"This building will collapse if anyone of you got 'A' in your group assignment. I challenge you. Muslims usually don't perform well. Why? Because they are lazy!"

"How many could get 100% out of 100% or 40% out of 40% for your final exam? Very rare-impossible!"

"You should have been scoring! But you don't! Why? Because you don't read! And because you-MUSLIMS"

Or he said something similar. We were scolded in class. SubhanAllah.

He even told us why he was emphasizing sooooo much on grammar (in writing our articles, answering exam questions).

“Do you think Allah will be pleased with you if you read Al-Quran simply as how you wanted to(without tajweed)? Do you think your friends will like it when you speak to them your own style/language simply the way you like eventhough they don’t?”

True indeed. L

“You think you can answer your exam if you don’t read your textbook? If you don’t study? How can you stand for Islam when people talk bad about Islam when you don’t have knowledge (0%!) about your religion!”

He was explaining to us how can our attitude and habits affect our attitude towards Islamic practices as well. Astaghfirullah.. So many things to improve on! Allah musta’an..

I could see he was quite upset with us all.

But all in all, it was such an eye-opener!

You know in what class were we?
HRM.

Uhuh. You read me.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

Not in any Islamic-core subject class in my university as u might think.

At first, you might think this lecturer of mine is just being sceptical towards muslims (as a whole), or you might say, waaaaaay sceptical. But no he's not. Infact, he was right! He was pin-pointing our mistakes-as MUSLIMS.

So improve! Get moving now oo you muslims.

Wallahi i like his class! The best ‘eman-rejuvenator’ and 'head-knocker' ever! In his own style, of course. MashaAllah! Thanks dear lecturer. We learned a lot from you. Alhamdulillah :)

LESSONS LEARNT:

1. Portray good attitude, behave REALLY well wherever you are. Be a likeable-muslim since all muslims should aware their "I'M A MUSLIM" name tag brings with them their religion name, which is obviously ISLAM. You wouldn't want to tarnish your religion's beautiful image with your nasty behaviour, would you? Please please please.........DON'T.

2. If you are a student of knowledge, ACT LIKE ONE. Have adab in seeking knowledge. Respect your lecturer. Take your studies seriously. As a student, it's your duty to learn by heart and hard, perform REALLY well in your projects, assignments, exams, just everything that's assigned to you that need to be accomplished! Why? Because your duty=your amanah. At MOST, aren't you afraid being questioned by Allah for not (at least TRYING) fulfilling your amanah in best manner? Allahu yahdina..

3. Don't give chance to others to pin-point your weaknesses! One common mistake:LAZINESS. Would you want Islam to be associated with this nasty attitude of yours?

4. Proof of Concept. You have been propagating how cool Islam is.. How awesome is its teaching.. How 'pure' and humanly muslims should be.. Etc.. But i wonder, why aren't all these 'cool-awesome-pure' islamic image reflected from you, so called 'MUSLIMS'? So get yourself 'islamized' first before you're to islamize others. Proof the islamic concepts to be true.
"Hey, u said Islam is *this* and *that*. But you got the lowest mark in class. You got the lowest grade in your projects and assignments. What's so great on becoming a muslim? So Islam isn't great after all."

ABOVE: Please don't let this happen-ever! That people wouldn't want to become Muslim or not to even come NEAR to Islam, to learn it because of you! Na'udzhubillahi min dzalik! :(

5. Be open up to criticism. If the critics are constructive eventhough they appear to be negative to you, say 'Alhamdulillah. Thanks to the critics, i'm able to know what are my mistakes and i'm going to IMPROVE on them'. Not to complain. Accept it with a sincere heart to make a change..

@But if the critics are the DESTRUCTIVE ones-which are of NO HELP to increase your eeman or your knowledge, then ignore and walk away. These kind of critics will only retard your motivation or self-esteem :(

6. Intend-Visualize. Everything you do, start with the right INTENTION-to fulfill your amanah for the sake of pleasing your LORD (Allah swt) alone, in best manner full of excellence (ihsan) while VISUALIZING:

the MOST : the end reward from Allah (ya'ni Jannatul a'la with everything you were promised to have in there-lots of food and fruits, peaceful greetings and no vain/insulting talks, pleasing companions and neighbors, ect.. It's the ULTIMATE success inshaAllah! ; or

the LEAST: your high achievements and success in dunya~ :)

'MUSLIM' is a term used to define every individual that practices a beautiful, comprehensive and excellent religion called ISLAM. Unfortunately, not all today's muslims are TRULY trying to become a REAL muslim. They are just a 'MUSLIM' by name, not a FULL-TIME muslim. (i’m not trying to generalize here-not ALL but some/many L )

Sorry if i'd ever insulted or offended anyone, didn't mean to do so. Was just reminding myself before others in TRYING to become a REAL-practicing muslima. That's all.

pss: Am comparing my muslim friends from Malaysia and from other foreign countries (in focus: non-muslim countries and west). Found that my foreign friends are more committed and diligent in practising Islam-whole-heartedly! Maybe Malaysian muslims (again, in large, not saying ALL Malaysian muslims) are taking Islam much for granted than these people who hardly having FREEDOM practising this seemingly-strange religion in non-muslim countries. SubhanAllah.

May Allah put firmness in you heart my dear sisters (and brothers out there) to practice this beautiful deen-perfect way of life. Aameen..

So do you have any idea how to make The Quran

as appealing as vanilla ice-cream full chocolate toping, (Yummy!)

as cool as ice, (Kids, ice not healthy)

as luring as a bar of chocolate, (Can't trust you with chocolate-MINE!)

as interesting as Bollywood movie? ( I don't watch Hindustani film)

or, at least,

as pleasing as seeing your mommy? (Aww.. Allah bless you sweetie)

Aha. I have few tit-bits for you ;)

1. Change your new BFF (Best Friend Forever)..

Well, you could still have your recent BFFs remain as they are-not to neglect them or something but from now on, i want you to have NEW bff= BFFLH!

BFFLH = BEST FRIEND FOR LIFE and HEREAFTER,

which is Your Quran :)

2. BFFLH vs iPod Touch Screen

You would want to return to your house which is 15 minutes (or more than 30 minutes!) away from the spot you are standing on now just for the sake of your iPod (Or any phone you are so in love with) or what u call as 'My Baby'?

Then do the same to your Quran! I'm not talking about the BIG Quran you have in your CLOSET-untouched for centuries. Go get small one, a cute one which suits you-so that you'll have enough space to easily put into or tug it out of your small bag. (You can find plenty of the small Quran of various designs and colours in the market, with translation. Insha Allah :)

3. Learn different ways to 'communicate' with your BFFLH

Just as how easily you could get bored with the same song (used-to-be your FAVE that you keep listening to, humming and singing, and the whole city knows it) as you keep listening to it over and over and over................. again. So now, you're telling me this syeikh so and so's recitation is SO BORING? Who told you to listen the same song over and over and over................. again? And who told you to listen to only one qari(Quran reciter)? It’s like:

“Now i’m feeling a bit sleepy, need to be a bit waky and freshy. Let’s listen to Sheikh Emad Al-Mansary/Bro Muhammad Taha/Bro Ahmad Saud’s recitation!”

Instead of listening to Sheikh Mansary al Afasy or Syed al Ghamidi who recite so nice that could put me to a heartfelt and tearful mood for my muhasabah session with my BFFLH. Let’s be creative suiting and matching these different qari-s to our different mood. Do you get what i’m trying to say here? J

There are so many awesome reciters out there, over the internet. Just click search, find few which suit your mood and preference, keep them in you MP3 player (better MP4 player-download videos from YouTube, HalalTube, TubeIslam.com) and listen to them interchangeably anytime and anywhere you want. Easy. Fun. Sweet. No more excuses, alright? :)

4. Treat your BFFLH well, yet the BEST

Tell me how do you treat your BFFs? How do you behave with them? You consult them almost all the times, correct? Sad, happy, excited, gloomy or feeling bloomy, you will express them all out to your devout BFFs. Now, treat your BFFLH waaaaay better than that. Before you meet BFFs, consult BFFLH first. Open your cute-small Quran randomly, read the page, contemplate. Or better, read the suitable surah for each condition. For example, when you feel sad, read surah Yusuf. Contemplate on the hardship Prophet Yusuf (may peace be upon him) undergone-betrayal, imprisonment, seduction, lonelines/away from beloved family, etc..

"Oo my BFFLH, i feel extremely sad, make me happy.. :("

pss: Al-Quran is not a living thing. Bear in mind it is Allah 'azza wa jal you're consulting. The above is just the analogy to help you how to behave towards Al-Quran. Or better, it shoud sound this way:

“Oo Allah, i feel extremely sad, make me happy..”

Anyway, what else better than reading Al-Quran with understanding as a way to communicate with your LORD, Allah, in prayers, or best at all times? Agree? :)

Ok. All tips above seem to be more effective for ourselves, not helping much to attract others to love the quran, u might think. Uhuh. That's my point. You start first. Then inshaAllah you will be able to share the beauty of the Quran and the miracles it has with the others. InshaAllah..

Trust me. Who else is HAPPIER than the one who feels peace in his/her heart at most of the times? And who else could feel and be in that state other than the one who is always with Allah, in HIS rememberence? And tell me who else is closer to Allah than the one who's BFFLH is The Quran? Who reads, contemplates, understands and lives by its advices-the teachings? And of course the best example in understanding our BFFLH is habeebuna Muhammad (s).. :)

You don't trust me? Of course you won't! Because you have not tried. That's why..

Try first, you will learn well from experience. It will work. Insha Allah

You just need to struggle a bit, with patience (as-sabr) and perseverence (al-istiqamah) ;)

All the goodness you get is from Allah, thank Allah, alhamdulillah.

The Amazing Old Man

Here's a story i read from FB (About an old man who was so concern being on time to mosque-crawling!)

SubhanAllah! Amazing..

On the road to Dubai, my husband stopped at a small mosque to offer the Asr prayer. As I sat in the car, I saw a figure approaching from the direction of a small group of houses. It took some time before I realised it was a man, crawling towards the mosque. He wore rubber sandals on his hands. His lower body dragged on the hard, rocky ground. The sweltering heat was beating down hard on his body. By the time he reached the courtyard of the mosque, I could see he was soaked and his face was flushed. Many men passed him on their way to the prayer, perhaps accustomed to seeing him everyday. One man came out of a shop and watched him for a while. He went back into the shop and came out with a cold drink. He opened it for the crawling man and they sat together for a minute. I heard them talking as the man who offered him the cold drink requested that he would help the crawling man to make it up the stairs to the mosque. He was concerned about making it on time, so he excused himself and continued his slow, laboured journey to the prayer.

I did not watch him as he mounted the stairs. I could not imagine how to help him. I was crying by then, remembering the Hadith of the Prophet (pbuh): "The hypocrites find the Fajr and Isha prayers in congregation very oppressive. If they could know the virtues of these two prayers, they would certainly join them, even if they had to go crawling." (Bukhari, Muslim)

This man, who literally did crawl even in the heat of the day, did not find the congregational prayer oppressive at all. May Allah reward all who struggle to please Him and may He always remind us of our own weaknesses through such people.

Abu Bakr(r.a) and A Tree

Abu Bakr once disputed with another companion about a tree. During the dispute Abu Bakr said something that he rather would not have said. He did not curse, he did not attack someone’s honor, he did not poke a fault in anyone, all he said was something that may have hurt the other companion’s feelings.

Immediately, Abu Bakr – understanding the mistake - ordered him, “Say it back to me!” The companion said, “I shall not say it back.” “Say it back to me,” said Abu Bakr, “Or I shall complain to the Messenger of Allah.” The companion refused to say it back and went on his way.

Abu Bakr went to Rasul Allah and related what had happened and what he said. Rasul Allah called that companion and asked him, “Did Abu Bakr say so and so to you?” He said, “Yes.” He said, “What did you reply.” He said, “I did not reply it back to him.” Rasul Allah said, “Good, do not reply it back to him (do not hurt Abu Bakr). Rather say, ‘May Allah forgive you O Abu Bakr!’”

The Companion turned to Abu Bakr and said, “May Allah forgive you O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you O Abu Bakr!” Abu Bakr turned and cried as he walked away.

Let us leave today with a resolve to revive this air Rasul Allah and his companions breathed, an air of mercy and love and brotherhood.

“Contentment is a treasure that never perishes.”

What happens then is every time we meet a potential for marriage, we hope they are the One. We project all of our dreams and emotional baggage on the poor person. We expect them to be that which they are not. Then we get married and discover the true person. We divorce. Then we repeat the same cycle, living miserably ever after.

While some people do actually find their SSM, most people don’t (including the actors in those movies). Despite this, some people still live happily! Omar (ra) said, “Love is not the only component for building successful families.” Happiness can still be achieved with someone short of the ideal spouse. The key is to accept what one has. A beautiful Arabic proverb says: “Contentment is a treasure that never perishes.” If a person is content with a difficult situation, he will be happy; if he is discontent with a good situation, he will never be happy.

Here are a few things that could help:

Stop watching those romantic comedies. Most of those stories are more ‘fiction’ than Avatar.
Remember, you’re not perfect yourself, even if your mother thinks you are.
Get to know your spouse as they are, not as you wish for them to be. Each person has their own individuality, and if you accept them as they are, you may find someone very beautiful. Put an effort into discovering your other half, without any prior judgment. But essential for that is…
… not to criticize them and to make them feel uncomfortable. When people feel they’re constantly monitored and evaluated, they act very sloppy and awkward and could never blossom, showing their true beauty.
Do not define them by their shortcomings. In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah in Sahih Muslim, our Prophet ﷺ said:“A believing man would never feel repulsed by his believing wife; if finds something about her that he dislikes, he will always find something else about her that satisfies him.”
Keep in mind that Mr. or Mrs. Super-Perfect DOES NOT exist. What about Khadija (R), you ask? She was perfect and real, wasn’t she? Yes, she was real, for someone like the Prophet ﷺ. It would not be fair to hold that perfect woman as the minimum acceptable standard; that unless my wife is like her, she won’t be good enough. Khadijah was indeed the maximum - the best a woman can be. The Prophet ﷺ said four women attained perfection. Only Khadijah amongst them was married to a prophet. In a hadith narrated in the Musnad, the Prophet ﷺ said Allah sent 124,000 prophets, yet only one of the perfect women was married to a prophet. So 123,999 prophets had less-than-perfect wives. Some, like the great Prophets Nuh and Lut (`alayhi assalam) even had bad wives. Something to think about.
Have taqwa (God-consciousness) of Allah in whatever you do and keep in mind His reward. Omar (ra) said, “We found the joy of our lives in patience (sabr).”
To make it easier on others, if you are blessed with a great spouse, then praise be to Allah. Just don’t make it difficult on the others, by continuously telling them how perfect your spouse is.
Finally, if you still feel a compulsion to compare with others, then you should compare with those that have less. The Prophet ﷺ recommended for this, as “it makes it easier for you to appreciate the blessings of your Lord.”

Because these people, they need to know which direction should they go and which path to take as having the reason in being persistent in this journey alone ISN'T ENOUGH..

Aww.. Be Patient!

Bismillah..

Assalamu'alaykum!

I didn't know it's hard to be patient.. SubhanAllah! I thought things are gonna be easy as usual-I could be patient all this while but why not to this one? Weird..

So here're few things that i'm gonna do.. Sharing the tips here just in case if anyone finds it hard (REALLY HARD) to be patient-will benefit. EnshaAllah ;)

1. 'BE PATIENT'

Uhuh! I'm gonna have this 'BE PATIENT' sign paste on/available at every place i go/do (or at least most of the places-in the house, of course..)

On top of my journal page- Check!

On my desktop-Check!

On my wardrobe mirror-Check!

On my bedroom door-Check!

A BIG-BOLD bookmark saying, "YOU-BE PATIENT"- Check!

Bathroom's door-Should i?

2. Be the BUSY-BEE not lazy

Have an organized plan throughout the day, week, and month!

Have a list of M, N, O, P and..................... Z on what to do today.

Stick to the plan, finish them one by one patiently, emphasizing on the QUALITY.. :)

Suggestion: Memorize short chapters from the Quran, Supplications from our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w), finish all those books on seerah (or other BENEFICIAL books that interest you the most)

3. Never-ALONE

Not to sit at a place alone if possible. Have good and righteous companions around you, or family members.. If possible, play and listen to your MP3-Quranic recitations or awesome-cool-superNICE islamic lectures..

4. Just grab it

Have books/notes on things you wana memorize ( as suggested in #2) at the easiest-reachable places. Beside your bed, on the dining table (make sure everyone in the house is well informed not to throw your books/notes away), in your pocket, anywhere!

What i've been doing is, have small-sized books on Hisn al muslim (Fortress of The Musli

m): Invocations from the Quran and Sunnah, Al-Quran with English and Malay translations near me all the time. Once you get distracted, just grab any one of them and start memorizing few verses/ du'a. They are small, easy to grab..

Alhamdulillah, it really works.. Just imagine how many verses/du'a you would memorize

everytime you get distracted? Cool, huh? :)

5. The words of WISDOM

What else is better than the kalamullah (the words of Allah)? They are the best SHIFA' (cure) and BEST MOTIVATION, INSPRIRATION for any disease including the heart illness/disease.. :)

There are more in the list but it's better to start with these few verses first inshaAllah :

Al-Baqarah: 153-157, 177, 249

Ali 'Imran: 146, 186

Memorize and keep reciting these verses over and over again while pondering and contemplating on their meanings. You will feel the strength of repelling 'sigh' sickness and impatience.. InshaAllah!

6. Fasting

This is actually the BEST WAY to train oneself on how to be patient. There're so many evidences in the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah that explain the great hikmah(wisdom) behind this act.

When you fast, you'll experience the hardship of other people who don't have the blessings that Allah bestow upon you-not being able to eat 5x times a day (5? That's A LOT), have a nice home, etc.. Acknowledging all these will tone down our impatience. InshaAllah..

And many other benefits on sawm (fasting) you could find from scholarly written articles.

Perhaps, you can do research on the evidences and articles on your own? Don't have them with me now ;)

7. Istighfar

Seek forgiveness from Allah 'azza wa jal..

We are never free from committing sins. Maybe it's the sins that we committed prevent us from being patient.. Astaghfiru Allah Al-'Azhim... :(

8. Dzikrullah

Constantly remember Allah.. That will really prevent you from doing/saying something displeasing HIM and thus, train you to be patient.. Don't you think so? :)

9. Videos..

There are so many heart-mending, heart-soothening, eman-rejuvenating videos that you could watch over the internet that talk about patience.

Tips On Memorizing The Qur’an

Notice the young brothers that memorized the Qur’an in your community, they are already pushed to the front of the congregation by virtue of their accomplishment. They, at this early start, are forced to contribute to the community and live a life of significance. Bi idhnillah. That’s what we all want. The Qur’an can do it for you.

But these gifts have a condition: the taqwa of Allah. There is one absolute naseeha that will make or break the persons drive to memorize the Qur’an: One must desist from sin! Ibn Mas’ood said, “I feel that indeed someone will forget knowledge they had a acquired because of sins they commit.”

When Abu Haneefah, rahimahullah, was confronted with a Fiqh Mas’alah that he was unable to conclude, he would get up and pray two raka’at in tawbah to Allah. These are people who truly knew the prize to be won. Allah ta’ala teaches us in the Qur’an: "[Be conscious of Allah and Allah will teach you.] This knowledge is from Allah ta’ala, a gift. It makes no sense that someone spends their nights disobeying the gift-giver while awaiting His gifts in the morning".

Al-Khateeb reported in al-Jaami’ (2/387) that Yahya ibn Yahya said: “A man asked Maalik ibn Anas, ‘O Abu ‘Abd-Allaah! Is there anything that will improve my memory?’ Maalik ibn Anas, rahimahullah, replied, ‘If anything will improve it, it is giving up sin.” Bishr Alhaafee, rahimahullah, said "A servant commits a sin, and is deprived [thereby] of performing tahajjud."

One of the key: if you want your children to be effective in their Deen and their memorization of Qur’an, YOU have to be the one that you want your children to become. Do not let them see a contradiction.

When I was young, I did not want to go to a Qur’an school. Subhan Allah. I went to that Qur’an school, I went to Madinah University and here I am today. I recently received a beautiful email after giving a lecture to the Canadian Hujjaj, my father’s group. While I spoke, my father had his head up high, smiling and crying during the speech.

The brother wrote in his email that he was watching my father during the lecture. It dawned on him that Muhammad is here today giving this speech because of the dua of this man! I hadn’t contemplated it much until I read that email, for indeed it is correct. After the tawfeeq of Allah, it was the dua of my parents for me that helped me become who I am.

Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “The heart that has no Qur’an in it is like an abandoned ruined dwelling.” [At-Tirmidhi]. What kind of home would you like your heart to dwell in? excusitis, is a most powerful sickness that keeps people back from accomplishing in life. Excuse-itis. If you interview effective people, you will rarely find them making excuses. If you want to succeed in your memorization, never make excuses. Do what you have to do. I forbid those around me from making excuses. I advise the same for you. Do what you have to do to accomplish. If you cannot, then do not make excuses.

One of the interesting excuses is “I have to completely understand the Qur’an before I memorize it. I have to know Arabic, and Fiqh and Hadith before I start from the source.” Do not look at what a scholar is currently reading or studying. Look at what he did in the beginning. Every single scholar I have ever met started with Qur’an, nothing else. If you want to accumulate massive knowledge of this Deen, you must begin with memorization of the Qur’an. The children in the Hifdh school are well on their way to accomplishing massive accumulation of knowledge of this deen by virtue of their Hifdh. Bi idhnillah.

Let me give you two views by two very different people and how they look at the challenges of life:

Person 1: “Oh man, that’s a killer. I can’t do that. This time I just give up. Looks like I’m finally whipped. I’ll never amount to anything. I’m tired.”

Person 2: “Awesome, that was the kind of challenge I’ve been waiting for. Yaa Rabb, I am going to make you proud of me. I’m going to give it my best. I’m going to pump 110% of my energy into every part of this challenge!”

Guess which one will succeed in their memorization of the Qur’an. That’s right, the second one. Why? Because the second one has the right attitude.

When I hear someone talking about their attempts to memorize Qur’an, I can usually tell which category they have locked themselves into. It is not the Qur’an. The Qur’an is easy to remember. Allah ta’ala testifies to that in the Qur’an: [And verily we made the Qur’an easy to remember, so is there anyone who will take heed?] If you think it’s easy for you, it is. If you think it is hard for you, it is. It is your attitude that determines it.

Below are some quick tips that will help you in memorizing the Qur’an:

1. You absolutely must have a teacher.

Do NOT memorize on your own. You must have a teacher who you respect and whom you fear. Don’t ask ‘how’ to memorize the Qur’an. Ask where you can find the best teacher. The teacher will then guide you on the ‘how’.

2. Distractions.

In memorizing the Qur’an, you must free your mind and environment of distractions. Imagine trying to memorize at a football game? Tough, huh? How about a theme park, could you sit down and control yourself to memorize? Probably not. Getting into a Qur’an Hifdh program with a teacher and discipline will assist you in creating the perfect atmosphere for memorization.

3. Memorize through Audio.

A lot of people think they are memorizing the ‘look’ of the Mushaf, but actually you are memorizing the ‘sound’ of Ayat. When I review, I record my recitation on CD and listen to it again and again. The students that read the loudest in class are all the strongest students. Why? Because they can hear themselves the most?

When I was in Qur’an school, the boy beside me read so loud. I asked the teacher to ask him to read more quietly. He said a most powerful statement that became my motto: “No, you read louder!” I did and it benefited me unbelievably.

4. Location of the Mushaf.

Your eyes follow a specific direction depending on what you are thinking or doing. If you are lying, your eyes go left. If you are remembering something visual, like where you left your keys, your eyes will look upwards.

When you memorize, the direction of memorization is right and left, not downwards. The mistake I see people make is that they put their mushaf low on the ground and then try to memorize. In order to fully harness the power of your mind, you must keep the mushaf at eye level, and not dip your head..

5. Eat brain food.

We’ve all heard the advice of uncles that you have to eat Badams (almonds) to improve memory. Well, I’m here to tell you that the uncles were right! The food you eat, the drinks you drink, directly affect your ability to excel in memorization of the Qur’an.

Do not eat fatty, unhealthy food. Do not drink soda. Eat a nutritious light breakfast, a nutritious light lunch, with almonds for snacks during the day. Subhan Allah, you will find you accomplish much more in your day.

6. Make everyday a victory.

You can move a mountain rock by rock. Enjoy every page you memorize, every Ayah.

I am often asked about my secret to memorizing the Qur’an. They are expecting me to teach them a special ‘south-beach-hifdh-diet’ or something. (I call it tip shopping, they are expecting a specific tip). I say again and again, there is no doubt that there are three ingredients. If you have these three ingredients, you will accomplish what you set out for:

1. Dua, supplication (you must always reflect your desire to Allah).

2. Sabr, patience (it will be a testing path, fill your bags with Sabr powerbars).

3. Taqwa, protecting yourself from sin.

If you do not remember anything from this article except these three ingredients (DST – Dua, Sabr, Taqwa - DST) then, bi idhnillah, it will suffice.

Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (sal Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "The one who was devoted to the Qur'an will be told on the Day of Resurrection: `Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite.'' [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

I make dua that what i'm going to share this time will benefit us all-especially myself-a normal human being who needs to be reminded of Allah at all times. Allah musta'an.

It has been a while that i haven't shared my 'journey to Islam' (just simply love to call it as such!) with everyone who has been reading my blogposts (If i do have any. LOL) So many things happened lately, just so many of them! I just couldn't list them down! From good to bad, pleasant to unpleasant things! And i learned great lessons from them and they made me realize one thing:

EVERYTHING THAT BEFALLS UPON YOU IS ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU EVEN IF IT DISPLEASES YOU-IF YOU HAVE BEEN CONSULTING AND ASKING ALLAH TO HELP AND ASSIST YOU IN ALL OF YOUR AFFAIRS

Allahuakbar.

It is so true when Allah says in HIS 'love letters' :

"..But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you, But ALLAH KNOWS, and YOU KNOW NOT.." (Al-Baqarah:216)

We might like something so much, so immensely to the extend that nothing else matters to us other than getting what we want or desire! But my dear brothers and sisters, bear in mind that nothing is to be given to us by Allah if it is NOT WRITTEN for us in Allah's qadr. It is impossible for us to get it by any means..

Some people might say, "Then that will be unfair to me if i could not get what i want! I've made du'a to Allah to give it to me so why wouldn't HE? HE supposedly is to grant any wishes.."

Or you might say, "I made du'a to Allah for this but why isn't HE giving me what i want? Infact, i got something else, not as what i expected!"

Then you'll start wondering, "Why is Allah doing this to me?.."

SubhanAllah.. Far removed is Allah from any imperfections..

If we are truly a believer, how could we think as such to Allah 'azza wa jal?

If Allah is so dear to us, infact the dearest, how could we accuse Allah being unfair to us?

My dear bothers and sisters..

Never to ask Allah what you want but ask Allah to give you what is the best for you as what you want unnecessarily the best for you..

Know this: All prayers, du'aat will be answered. Infact, may have been answered! It's just us who don't see..

It could be something you want. But don't be sad if you haven't got it. Allah wants to give it to you at the right time.

Could also be something you have never expected. Or something that you hate. So have hopes only on Allah so that you won't feel regret or disappointed for hoping something which is not for you..

Allah.. All these reminders really hit me. May Allah give us chance to improve ourselves..

"Oo Allah, I am Your slave and the son of Your male slave.

My forehead is in Your Hand (i.e. You have control over me).

Your judgement upon me is assured

and Your decree concerning me is just.

I ask You by every name that You have named yourself with,

revealed in Your Book,

taught by any one of Your creation

or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen taht is with You,

to make the Quran the spring of my heart,

and the light in my chest,

the banisher of my sadness

and the reliever of my distress.."

Allah LISTENS and Allah KNOWS

It has been few days that many things happened in my life.

Truly Allah 'azza wa jal has been with us all the time..

STORY 1

A very dear friend of mine, who i love for the sake of Allah, who is in her path of knowing Islam, in her best of her efforts to love Allah wa Rasullullah (pbuh), to you my dear, may Allah bless you fiddunya wa akhira..

Last night, surprisingly, i dreamed of this deary friend of mine. In my dream, she came to me and asked me few questions which i've forgotten what they were. And she looked very upset. The only thing that i remember is that she was asking me about Allah. And i was upset too seeing her being demotivated. And i remember i called her again in the dream, trying to help and answer her questions. And i also remember how she left me then, feeling satisfied.. Alhamdulillah..

However, you might say to me that it's just a dream..

Yup. It's a dream. But a dream by which Allah, maybe, was trying to tell me something..

This morning, right after i had my fajr prayer, as i couldn't help feeling a bit worried about this beloved friend of mine, i sent her a message telling her about the dream and asking her well-being..

And subhanAllah.. She told me that she was speechless. The day before i had the dream, she told me that she was really upset, really missing all the Islamic talks that we used to have, and that she somehow really miss Allah.. She told me how much she wanted to talk to me that day, and had even prepared a LONG-MESSAGE to send to me-but she cancelled n deleted it. She changed her mind. She just complained to Allah her problem, not wanting to share with me, which i assume she didn't want to disturb or burden me with her stories and problems (but ya ukhty, you've never been so :) )..

You see, biiznillah, with Allah's will, i came to know what happened to her the day before eventhough she didn't want me to know and that she didn't even tell me so. but subhanAllah, Allah, The One who knows everything including what's hidden in our heart, knows what she intended for and there it was, i discovered it anyway, after had that dream..

But that was not all..

STORY 2

At the very same day, i had a class with Ustaz Kabuye Othman. It was a class on ethics and fiqh for everyday life. He was talking about the state of heart, the khulq of the beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW and some other things.. What touched/moved my heart the most in that class was his advice and encouragement on us to be generous. As usual , being so motivated to practice this sunnah, i asked Allah to give me chance to be one.

That evening, while waiting for maghrib prayer in IIUM Mosque, i was reading The Quran with few close friends of mine. It was almost prayer time. One of my friends, had been asking around if anyone of us had extra brooch. I didn't respond to her until she sat next to me, as i was trying to concentrate on my recitation. However, i wanted to help her so i gave her mine without thinking much about it-it's just a brooch, not a big deal, eventhough i know that i might be needing it too later :)

Right after i handed her the brooch and smiled to her, i continued reading my quran..

SubhanAllah.. the next verse said this:

"Verily your Lord does provide sustenance in abundance for whom HE pleases, and HE provides in a just measure. For HE does know and regard all HIS servants.."

Al-Isra':30

How motivating! SubhanAllah.. Allah promises that HE'll sustain the rezq of those who HE wants. Oo Allah, i wana become one. Make me one! Amin! :))

STORY 3

Another story.. I was so upset one evening and being so demotivated at the same time. I'd rather say that my emaan was in its critical state-need to be 'TOP-UP'..I couldn't help myself except heading towards the mosque, wanted to perform my 'asr prayer as i'd just finished my class. In mosque, i asked Allah to 'talk' to me. I complained to HIM everything, wanting HIM to help me to rejuvenate my eman.. Then i opened my Al-Quran with the translation.. Then i came across these verses:

"In the case of those who say, "Our Lord is Allah", and further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear you not! Nor grieve!" but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of bliss), that which you were promised!

"We are you protectors in this life and the Hereafter: therein shall you have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall you have all that you ask for! - a hospitable gift from One Oft-Forgiving, most Merciful.."

(Fussilat:30-32)

These verses meant a lot to me, i tried to memorize them that evening and i did, alhamdulillah..

But it didn't stop there. I stayed at the mosque till maghrib and had my maghrib prayer there too, wanting to spend more time in HIS house.. Something happened during the prayer. It was during the 1st rakaah. After the imam recited al-Fatihah (as beautiful as always!), then guess what happened?..

The imam recited the same and exact verse that i memorized that evening! Awesome. Allahuakbar.

I couldn't help myself. I burst into tears.. At that moment, there's nothing dearer to me than Allah 'azza wa jal. It was despicable-the best state of emaan i'd ever had! Wallahi.. The best feeling i'd ever had-tranquility, contentment..

Allah.. Please bring us closer to you from time to time.. Aameen..

My dear brothers and sisters,

The only reason i shared with you all these stories is just to make us all think, "What are the blessings of Allah that i forgot to thank today?" I believe all of us have gone through this moment in our life time, the moment of having Allah very close and dear in our heart.. Sweet. Nice. Peaceful. Calm. Or the best way to describe it- DESPICABLE..

Therefore my beloved brothers and sisters..

Let's be grateful and thankful to Allah who has blessed us with HIS companionship and guidance. May Allah lead us to HIS straight path and help us to persevere... Aamin..

Love you all for the sake of Allah..

May we meet again in jannatul a'la..

Do not be fooled by this world and its illusions
And keep in mind judgment, the grave and other conclusions

Oh self wake up! Don’t follow your desire
And ask for forgiveness to avoid the fire
Oh self keep the commands and avoid prohibitions
And pay close attention to these admonitions
Be amongst those who were the best of planners
Who prepared for the future with good deeds and good manners

Oh self it simply about your control
Being patient now so as to reach your goal
I don’t mean to put a burden, or put much stress
Just to warn of a day when the limbs confess

Sins add up as you live through the years
Then sadness won’t save you and nor will the tears
Every time you sin the Shaytan is winning
So remember the One against Whom you’re sinning

Life is short and ends when you least expect it
And then what will you say when you’re resurrected?
The angel of death overlooked you and took the souls of your brothers
And one day he’ll come to you and overlook others

And guess what-MANY people there in the hospital CONVERTED to ISLAM

Hey, he could only move his head-but he seemed to have no excuses spreading ISLAM..
SubhanAllah.. What about us?

Your job is to try your best to invite-tell people about ISLAM=THE ULTIMATE TRUTH..
The rest leaves to Allah. Only Allah has the power over changing HEARTS of people you invite..

DEAN's or ALLAH's lists??

Assalamu'alaikum!
Alhamdulillah.. Let's thank Allah for everythg He has given to us..

Had just came back from my visit to my old secondary school-TCS!
Alhamdulillah. Learnt lots of things there too! MashaAllah..

I realized that during my time in tcs, i wasn't a good student with all those good grades-with flying colours and everything. (Because i really love outdoor activities) i didn't have everything-indoors and outdoors-balanced up. Telling you again. i wasn't an excellent muslima student..

Until i started my 1st semester in IIUM, everything changed- i changed. The way i live my life, the way i study, the way i conduct myself with people and in all classes i attend, the way i think as well. All for the sake of Dean's list-i eversince that always wanted to become an excellent muslima student. InshaAllah!

Alhamdulillah. Thanks to Allah for everything He has given me, for all the guidance..

Then this idea popped into my head:

We are struggling hard to get our names in the dean's list, trying our best to go through all the 'tests, filtration, interviews'-all these being done just to get our names in the list! Then how about Allah's list?? How come i didn't realize that we are being filtered and interviewed?

Oo you seekers of knowledge, we are being tested here too! Study for the sake of Allah, huh? HE's filtering us too..

It's your struggle in your study (and job-if you are working) and your self-conduct in this world, the dunya. Allah azza wa jal is testing us..

1. through all the hardships, filtering us-You pass if you be patient and fail if you don't

2. the interviewing, could be in this dunya itself and in the grave!

Interview for this dunya: if you thank HIM after the ease He had given you-you pass, and fail if you don't(if you forget HIM)
For what to expect in the grave: Good life in alam barzakh means good life in the hereafter (Al Jannah inshaAllah!) but bad condition means tough times you'll face later! (naudzhubillah..)

Do you realize now that we are being tested to be listed in HIS list??..
Alhamdulillah.. hope we all do..

And do you know that the results of this struggle we are facing now in this dunya, Allah will tell you later in the hereafter? During the Day of Resurrection? Whether we are in Allah's list or we are not

Long term: Allah's list..
Both at the same time..

But how?
Everything has been taught in Islam-it's our homework and research to discover it out!

Something Happened and I Want You To Know

May every second pass isn't wasted for things other than for the sake of Allah
Insha-Allah..

I really can't stop thinking about what happened to me yesterday. I know i have final paper today but i really can't take all these off my mind until i write them all down. InshaAllah..

Having so called 'last minute' group revision+ discussion yesterday, our head had started to cramp up-stuck,blur,empty.. That's when we started to realize.."Ok, we need a break"..

While we were walking down to the mahallah cafe, i saw these two good sisters (may Allah bless them) that i met last time in one of the hadith classes. MashaAllah. Didn't expect to meet them, again. Alhamdulillah.. It was then, the conversation we had that makes me wonder-ponder about lots of things.. Things that most of us might have taken lightly.. Naudzhubillah.. It was at this point, everything started..

We complained about seeing 'couples' walking together side by side when at first we thought was a married couple until another friend who knows them said they are not. And to add, she said, they are students from religious courses..

"Akak ngaku, ramai dari kos Al-Quran and As-Sunnah sendiri tak amik berat pasal semua ni.."

Ouch. That really is painful to hear..

I thought, people who learnt revealed knowledge should know more and being more particular and sensitive regarding this issue-more than other people who are not majoring, specializing all those religious subjects in these religious courses- because i thought, maybe you could lead us to what's right and wrong as you know better than us..

PART 1: INTERMINGLING-IKHTILAT

And more.. She told me that there are ikhwan (muslim brothers) who are so religious-very knowledgeable, intelligent.. BUT there are some who don't observe their attitude towards their friends around them who are girls.. They talk to these girls as if they are halal for him to talk too and some of them even eat with these women in the same table!..Wait.. He what?

Yeah. U read me. They intermingle with sisters who are halal for them to get married with which is not yet halal for them. You know what i mean- not nikah with yet. Hm.. Sincerely, they don't have the qualities that i look for a muslim leader and even if he's to be my leader in my family- i don't want him. Naudzhubillah.. (But Allah knows best-everyone will be tested)

As far as i could remember, what she said (or something like that) really surprised me-at that very moment.. Really was SHOCKING..

OK. I'm not generalizing or being stereotype or something. It wasn't just about those from religious courses but as i said before, i believe they should know better..(However, i admit regardless of what courses you take, what background you have, there are people who are concern about their muamalah..)

We were talking about intermingling- IKHTILAT, between women and men. And we were not talking about the permissible intermingling with reasons, but we were talking about the intermingling with reasons that we THINK it's permissible all this while with the facts that they are actually NOT. They sound the same to you, i assume. Because they sounded the same to me too, before this.

"Ok. Let's have meeting at the library. Exactly by 8pm, everyone should be there. We'll try to finish everything up before 10.15pm inshaAllah. So prepare your task i've given-let's not waste our time."

Or..

"Ok. Brothers and sisters. I suggest we have our meeting at Evoke Cafe. Perhaps around 12.30pm? We can have lunch together. What do you think?" and majority will say yes..

Do these 2 'meeting' seem the same to you?
I'll tell you what..

"NO. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME"

It's like things which are islamic and with things that are islamized..
They are not the same..

So..

"What's up with all these courses thing? They are still human. IMPERFECT human being-with weaknesses. So stop comparing people from religious courses with other courses..!", you might say..

Now i'll tell you what i wanted to tell you at the first place..

First, i'll tell you what i think about my religion-OUR religion, ISLAM. Everytime i came to talk about Islam (just anything about Islam!), all that i could feel, see and think of is its BEAUTY, PURITY, PERFECTION. I believe and will always believe that Islam is special because it's a REVEALED knowledge. And i came to know that ISLAM IS PERFECT, UNFORTUNATELY MUSLIMS ARE NOT.

Ok. Khalas. I know all these..

Second, it was then i started to get to know who's Prophet Muhammad s.a.w, other prophets, the great first generation of Al-Quran, and people from the generation after like Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh, Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi.. All these made me feel, "MashaAllah! Awesome.. These men-muslim men are great figures in Islam!" and has made me proud to be a muslim and a part of beloved Muhammad's (s.a.w) ummah. Alhamdulillah!

At the end, all these motivate me more in learning MORE about this beautiful and awesome religion-ISLAM.

"WAIT. Why are you telling me all these? What do they had to do with ikhtilat that you were talking about?.." You are confuse huh?..

Yeah you should be confuse if u didn't see what's coming up all these while. And that just sadden me and i believe others too-It's painful to see the truth, bitter to find it out.

All these while, do you know what i expected from most people from these religious courses?
To be an examplery brothers, leaders.. A qudwah hasanah in our times, that could resembles the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.. His (s.a.w) manners, leadership.. I'm not telling you nor demanding you to be like him-impossible! I know that.. But like i said- BE A QUDWAH IN TODAY'S WORLD THAT RESEMBLES HIM (S.A.W)..

"MashaAllah.. All these brothers are great leaders! Great examples! Good to see people like them-GREAT MUSLIMS!"

Yes, this is what i want to hear from people out there when they look at you..
So please, don't disappoint us..
We are waiting to see leaders with the QUALITIES that Islam wants..
The qualities shapened with the teachings of Al-Quran and As-Sunnah..
The same qualities we learned and found from Umar Al-Khattab-A leader who fears of Allah and hopes on HIS mercy at all times
The same qualities we found from Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh-A young leader who was so smart, brave- till he could finally conquered Constantinople..
And other qualities from other great leaders and scholars!

So, who are all these great figures anyway?
They are the people who succeed as how Allah has mentioned in The Quraan, i believe in many verses.. They are the people that REALLY fears Allah, those of whom Allah has gifted TAQWA in their heart.. And i believe..

To have spirit alone isn't enough without knowledge..
And to have knowledge alone isn't gonna work without putting some efforts..

And i'm hoping to see these future 'ustadz' to lead the ummah, our way to what pleases Allah in everything we do..
NOT the kinda ustadz or leader that neglect and NOT observing his muamalah..
NOT lowering his gaze..
Because you don't expect a full-time doctor to come out give nasihah aw fatwa to the ummah?
Don't expect full-time business men to lead our way in living nad defending the Sunnah?..
We expect people who are the members of the Quran and As-Sunnah to lead our way..
You who learn this deen more than us..

PART 2: THE EYES RESEMBLE THE HEART

Do you know that the eyes are the windows of our limb? The eyes actually reflect the heart and the heart reflects your emaan..

As what a close friend of mine once said,
"I don't believe in his piety, he doesn't lower his gaze and he talks to women unnecessarily. i don't want that kinda man to be my husband.."

Ok.. She got her point there..
She said who would want to have somebody who doesn't observe his muamalah eventhough he has good knowledge of ad-deen? And then to make him as a leader? Forget it..

And i'm telling all these to myself too for i'm a normal human being with all the weaknesses you see from me. Despite of the spirit that i have, spirit of seeing Islam being glorified again as the greatest civilisation again, i'm telling you again that with this very limited knowledge i have, with what i myself have experienced all this while, i just want all of us to ponder over all these matters and THEY REALLY ARE IMPORTANT.

Know this brothers and sisters that i came to love and concern for the sake of Islam..
Bad intermingling happens when we tend to ignore the importance of lowering our gazes- that is not to look at the haraam things but to look at things that Allah pleases with, you'll start to take this issue lightly. No more fearing Allah when you talk lagho things with people of the opposite gender. Plus, you will start to find it enjoying to do.. Naudzhubillah..

"Ala.. Just want to share thoughts.. that's all.. It's 'ilm anyway.."

Yeah2.. Then.. opps..

"I think i had a crush on her. Is this a good sign?.."

What good sign? That she could be your life partner?
What if u've talked to many sisters, are u going to say the same thing too?
Or let me guess, you are now confuse-"Which one to choose?"..

And trust me, it will never end this way.. After that, you'll start to call, meet her as often as you and her want and the list goes on...

Then the scariest thing comes-ZINA. Yes, even the least ZINA-ZINA with your HEART. You remember her more than remembering Allah.. What if that day is your last day? I mean, what if you are going to die on that very same day? Dying committing ZINA-your heart? Isn't that listed among the biggest sins? Naudzhubillah.. Let's not be daring enough to taste the HELLFIRE. Naudzhubillah..

Oo and yeah. About your eyes being used for whatever purpose you choose, don't you ever forget this; Your eyes aren't really yours anyway, Allah lend them to you n He could easily take them back..

Ok. Why am i telling you all these now? Because these are among the common issues i've heard from many friends of mine regardless of what courses they are from or societies- they keep complaining the same thing-ikhtilat!

Inappropriate talks in the meeting..
Some are VAIN and PLAIN talks..
And when someone cracks a joke, the muslimaat started to giggle here and there..
What a scenario!

This has happened in a kuliyyah delivered by one of my fave speakers. In this kuliyyah, the students: men and women are segragated where they can't see each other (being done for the sake of emaan). After the talk, during the Q&A session, a sister asked a qs behind the tabir they put in between these 2 groups of different genders. And wallahi, according to the ustadz, the sister spoke in a very sweet and lady-like tone! Guess what happened next? After the kuliyyah finished, many brothers approached the ustadz asking about the sister-"Has she married?"

Hey, i'm not condemning anyone here-not even condemning the brothers. But you see, if that's what happened when the tabir is on and that men's gaze is protected, what do you think will happen if the gaze isn't being lowered and taken care of?..

Now, can you see the importance of the eyes(the gaze) and its effect towards the heart(The emaan)? hope you do inshaAllah..

Another thing that disappoint me most is that these sisters of mine are among the members of some so called religious societies! Mm.. Still, some of these societies are not portraying the good and examplary muamalah that we all can practice with..

As i said before, this are just my thoughts, my observations supported by my experiences and limited knowlegde.. All good things come from Allah and all imperfections are from me as to my weaknesses..

A Traveler's Heart..

Assalamu'alaikum..
May every word i'm about to share with you after this is being counted by Allah subhana huwa ta'ala as a way of me reaching to HIS MERCY and BLESSINGS.

Being accounted as a token of my love and gratitude towards HIS GUIDANCE all this while, in times of i'm being heedless or in times of hardships.. But most of the times- i know and i believe in one thing;

HE NEVER LEAVES ANY OF HIS SERVANTS ON THIS EARTH WITHOUT HIS GUIDANCE for we all came to know that HE is THE MOST BELOVED and THE MOST MERCIFUL-even far more than a mother towards her very own child..

SubhanAllah. Isn't Allah is THE GREATEST? But why are we still abusing, forgetting and denying HIM?..

Oo you who believes in Allah, isn't your heart shivering when HIS names are being mentioned?
Isn't your heart feeling the sweetness of remembering HIM?
Isn't your heart craving for HIS guidance, love and mercy?
Aren't you wanting to be closer to HIM as the time pasts?..
Or isn't your heart feeling any of these??
Ask yourself-how is your imaan today?..

Oo believers..
How close you are with Allah as compared to your own self?
As to your own self-admiration?
Self-adoration?..

And you and i know..
We all know..
How much have we returned to HIM in times only when we feel hopeless and then turn our faces away from HIM, back to times we were forgetting HIM..
But why?
After all this 'drama' you played..
After all the granted prayers and wishes you've asked from HIM..
You are now turning away from HIM? Again??

Oo you people who believe in the day of meeting Allah
Oo you travelers..
Hasn't Allah became your MOST beloved in heart..
Hasn't you felt how CLOSE HE is to your soul..
Don't you feel any of these?..

You and i- we are all travelers..
In a long journey to reach to the destiny..
But how far have we been to?
How much of our time left?
I'm reminding you and also myself
Our time has came almost to the end..

How should we behave-as a traveler?
Have you not seen and taken previous nation as an example?
Prophet Muhammad salallahu 'alaihi wassalam as the best?
The first generation of al-Quran?..
Look at how they cling their hearts to the rememberance of Allah?
The Hereafter?
Always missing the meeting day.. Their absolute destination..
Their hearts are all attached to what Allah has promised for them there..
Also in worries if they can't reach there..
So they tried very hard to do the best in everything-every path they have taken..
Their hearts are no longer attached to this dunya- and they take only what they need here on their way to there..
Taking only what's enough for them for this journey..
Taking what's BEST for a traveler..

If you ask me,
"What will you want to bring with you on your way to there?.."

I'll say..
I want to bring the best that i could have and get from this dunya..
All the things that Allah pleases with..
A piece of pure heart-pure soul..
A piece of heart that clings to the rememberance of HIM there..
I'll bring a piece of a traveler's heart..

All these are reminders-I'm reminding everyone including myself..
Insya-Allah..

Assalamu'alaykum my brothers n sisters in ISLAM! :)

Suddenly feel like writing somethg here, biiznillah..

I'd like to share somethg..

1. For new muslim brothers n sisters, take very good care of your EMAAN. LOVE YOURSELF, LOVE ISLAM and only then it will be easier for you to learn how to LOVE ALLAH, inshaAllah..

2. I realize somthg that, when you have the guts,feelings of doing somethg good and righteous, don't delay! Don't think too much! Just do it. It could be a sign from Allah, of HIS guidance for you to do somethg better.(And this is the time those evil syaithan would want to stop you from doing good deeds!) The reason not to delay and not to think too much (as you might end up with excuses of WHY I SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS) is because this is one of the ways to avoid ourselves from being prevented of doing the good deeds by syaithan (quite smart, aren't they?)

3. Hey, ISLAM is easy ok? So take it easy.. Take your time to know Islam.. I know there are lots to learn but Allah knows you are trying your best. Just don't give up alright? :)

4. ISLAM is BEAUTIFUL. Make sure you are actually portraying that 'message' to everyone! I realized that there are reverts who turned their back to Islam to some level. They reverted back to their religion. Naudzhubillah.. And you know why?.. Because they said that it's VERY hard to practice ISLAM and that actually scared them to know and go further in this beautiful religion.. It was just about MISUNDERSTANDING.. Naudzhubillah.. :(

5. STOP BEING IGNORANT and tell people around you to do the same thing too! Find the truth in everythg you do. Bear in mind this: "Oo Allah. YOU love those who wanted to know the truth and those who wanted to get closed to YOU. So here i am, i want to be among those who YOU love too!"

6. HAVE FAITH IN ALLAH. Ask from ALLAH to give you strength to look for the truth.. Ask from HIM for GUIDANCE, MERCY, FORGIVENESS for every day, every hr, every min and every second.. ASK ANYTHG YOU WANT FROM HIM ok?.. He's THE BEST PROVIDER,GIVER.. :)

7. There are too many things to share with but i guess i'll stop right here with this one: Be certain of your ULTIMATE goal in this life: Do i want to go to jannah or to jahannam later in the hereafter? If i want to go to jannah, make sure you WORK for that goal here in DUNYA..

Oo Allah.. Its YOUR blessings and YOUR forgiveness that we seek for! So GUIDE us.. Shelter us with your MERCY in this DUNYA and AKHIRAT.. Lead us the way to your HIGHEST place in JANNAH! Ameeeeeen.......

Think You Can't Do It? Think Again..

"I'm sure i can do this!"

At 1st, you might be 'confident' enough when you decide on something that you know it could change your life better (in some ways, eventhough it seems not to others)

"Hey, don't you know that's impossible! It's hard.. I'm sure you can't... bla.. bla.. bla (sort of thing)

Then you might be dichotomous, uncertain about your decisions (on anything!). Whether to go with it, or to 'back off'..

Sometimes it's hard to make decisions for our own life, agree? But there's always a solution for this and maybe MORE!. As i'm practising it and it works for me, i'm sure it will too, for you insyaAllah..

1. BEGIN FROM POSSIBLE.
This principle is well explained in a saying of Aishah. She said: "Whenever the Prophet had to choose between two options, he always opted for the easier choice." (Al-Bukhari)To choose the easiest option means to begin from the possible, and one who begins from the possible will surely reach his goal.

(I got this tip from an article posted in Madina.com. MashaAllah. Nice one!)

So, if you don't actually know how or where to start(in making decisions), follow this tip, you know what is beyond your reach, am i right? (^_^)

"Errr...what if what i've decided to do is something hard to do?? Many people told me it's hard and impossible, ya know.."

Well, many people told you it's hard, but for some people, it seems so easy! Eventhough it's hard, some people managed to succeed..

"But how??"

Well, just stop from being pessimist., be optimist, will ya?? Look, observe carefully and learn from those who succeed.. Just like our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him).Even Thomas Carlyle said that other than being a hero, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is also the BEST example for human kind.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?? A non-muslim is actually telling you this! So, you should really follow Prophet(peace be upon him) steps as he has shown us the way of achieving supreme success in this world.

"But people are still telling that i've made a WRONG decision because it's not easy.."

Here's something for you then;

2. TO SEE ADVANTAGE IN DISADVANTAGE
In the early days of Mecca, there were many problems and difficulties. At that time, a guiding verse in the Qur’an was revealed. It said: "With every hardship there is ease, with every hardship there is ease." (94:5-6).This means that if there are some problems, there are also opportunities at the same time. And the way to success is to ignore the problems and avail the opportunities.

There, Allah has told you to believe in yourself. Just don't tell me that you don't trust Allah's promises~

Bout the 'hard-tough-decision' that you've made and that many people seem to disagree, you can actually choose..It's all about

'HOW YOU THINK' aka 'THE POWER OF THOUGHTS'.

As what has been said by Ayoob, who has been so positive in his life:

"Each morning I wake up and say to myself,' Ayoob, Allah has given you two choices today.
a. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood.
b.Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.
c. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."

Ahah! See, told you~

Just look at the bright side of eveything eventhough the 'cloudy-gloomy-dark' side do exist. Hey, it's up to you to choose where to look at. As i said before, eventhough there are people who failed, there are also people who succeed. So, why don't you become one? (^_^)

p/s: I sometimes feel 'down', A LOT! Not certain bout my own decision. This morning i sent a message over the ym and asked my dad bout a TOUGH-goin-to-kill-me kinda decision. What enlightened me a bit was his answer:

My dad: "Yes u can becoz someone else did that too."

It's just that, i am sometimes lost focus. And bout this, my dad had his saying right:

My dad: "U have to be fully commited to it"

Exactly! I just have to be committed to it because i know that Allah is always wit me (and you too!).. As long as we work hard n smart, be committed n istiqamah, be more patient, always try to be better, tawakal.. InsyaAllah the success could be ours! (^_^)

The LOVE in ISLAM.. (^_^)

I once read that Rasulullah s.a.w said, if we love our sahabah, go tell them how much you love them because of Allah!

Here’s a nice story shared by Abu Hurairah r.a:

There was a man that came to Rasulullah s.a.w. and our beloved Prophet s.a.w sent that man to his wives but they said,

“We have nothing except water(to drink)”.

Then, Rasulullah s.a.w asked,
“ Who is willing to have this man as a guest and serve him?”

So an Anshor man answered, “I do”.

Thus, the kind man brought his guest home to his wife and told her to serve their guest with food. But the wife said,
“We have nothing left except food for our children.”

(And can you guess what did the kind man say to his obedient wife?.. )
“Prepare the food(for the guest) and light up the lamp and get the children into bed when they ask for dinner(mind that it was at night)”.

Then the wife started to prepare for the dinner, light up the lamp and took the children to bed. After that, she stood up as if she wanted to adjust the lamp or something and set the light off. In the dark, this pair of couple started to act as if they are eating too! And they actually chewed nothing! They acted that way so that their guest thought they are having dinner with him! And they ended sleeping that night without eating anything..

Can u imagine, willing to starve the whole night just to satisfy his musleem brother? And they didn’t even care. Plus, they felt satisfy that way.. How thoughtful! Now, let’s read what happened on the next day..

So, by the very next morning, this kind man went out to see Rasulullah s.a.w and he told everything that happened last night. Then our beloved Prophet s.a.w said,
“Last night, Allah was impressed with what you did..” (As narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

And it was told that this verse of the Holy Book of Al-Quran was then revealed:

"9. And those who had established their home in this city and in faith from before, love those who emigrated to
them, and find not in their breasts, any need for what they have been given and prefer them above their souls,
even though they be badly in need of, and whoso is guarded against the avarice of his own soul, those they
are the successful."
(Al-Hasyr:9)

In Malay translation..
9. Dan orang-orang (Ansar) Yang mendiami negeri (Madinah) serta beriman sebelum mereka, mengasihi orang-orang Yang berhijrah ke negeri mereka, dan tidak ada pula Dalam hati mereka perasaan berhajatkan apa Yang telah diberi kepada orang-orang Yang berhijrah itu; dan mereka juga mengutamakan orang-orang Yang berhijrah itu lebih daripada diri mereka sendiri, sekalipun mereka Dalam keadaan kekurangan dan amat berhajat. dan (ingatlah), sesiapa Yang menjaga serta memelihara dirinya daripada dipengaruhi oleh tabiat bakhilnya, maka merekalah orang-orang Yang berjaya.
(Hasyr:9)

SubhanAllah.. Isn’t that sweet??....

I’ve always wanted to travel around the world; to India, China, America, Africa, everywhere….
Just to say to all the musleems that I met how much I love them all, because of Allah!
Don’t you feel the same way too?
Don’t you think that’s the sweetest thing to do in our life?
To love and to be loved just because of Allah.. (How sweet..)

Anyway, why not?
We share the same way of life, the same deen we have..
And the most important thing is that we know that we have been worshipping only ONE God that is no God but ALLAH, ONLY HIM and that our beloved Prophet s.a.w. is truly His last messenger.
In fact, we all DO love our Prophet s.a.w..
We even took our syahadah every time of prayers, 5 times a day!
We DO share a lot of things, common things we have, am I right?
Isn’t that the sweetest???

Do you know what do all these explain? I called them as… UKHWAH FILLAH. (^_^)

Let’s say these together. Feel it, deep in your heart, you really mean all these:

I’m a muslim and I’m proud to be one.
I was born in Islam and will remain that way till my day comes.
I believe in Islam’s teachings, more than anyone could imagine!

Can you feel the pride of being a musleem? Here’re the good ones. You should say them out loud:

I love Allah! He’s ArRahman ArRahim. He has all the beautiful names.. (blink blink. Yup! HE does have them all…)
I love Rasulullah! (s.a.w) He’s the greatest man ever. He’s the best idol for all humankind and I’m proud to be his ummah.
I love myself!.. for who I am. I’ll never feel sad, lonely, disappointed, as I know Allah and Rasulullah love me too.. (Surely They love all of us!) (^_^)

I love Allah. I love Rasulullah. I love myself. I really love Islam!

So, brothers and sisters that I love lillahi ta’ala..remember these:

Eventhough we have never met before.
Eventhough we never get to know each other so well,
Eventhough I have never been in your place to experience
all those which caused you pain,
all those “THICK N THINs” you’ve gone through,
all the hard times you have had all by yourselves,
without your family besides you,
without your friends,
(without anybody!)

I just wanted to say that,
We, musleems feel what you feel.
We do feel sad when you are sad.
We do feel the horror, loneliness as you do.
We do feel all those pain that you feel.
You are not alone. Never will.
Because you have us and we have you,
As brothers and sisters in Islam.
WE have Allah.
Isn’t that more than enough?
Isn’t that what we all wanted??

And again, remember this my beloved brothers and sisters that I love because of Allah..

WE ARE NEVER ALONE AND WILL NEVER BE ALONE because Allah is always with us and TRULY ALLAH IS ENOUGH FOR US.. (^_^)

And I once read about a hadith, a nice one. Well, i couldn't remember what was the hadith that i read before and who narrated it, but what i'm trying to say here is that when your brother or sister in Islam is in miserable, we could actually feel it too. ## As we are all tied to a bond-relationship-Ukhwah! And this is the 2nd time i mention about UKHWAH. It is important, my dear brothers and sisters.. (^_^)

"63. And He put affection in their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth you could not have put affection in
their hearts but Allah have united their hearts. Undoubtedly! It is He, Dominant, Wise."
(Al-Anfal:63)

Cintakan Rasulullah s.a.w bererti cintakan Al-Khaliq.. Sudahkah kita berusaha mencintai Allah dan RasulNya sepenuh hati? Cukupkah usaha kita? Sejauh mana kebenaran kita dalam mengatakan cinta kita pada Allah? Benarkah Allah sentiasa di hati kita?

Wahai sahabat-sahabat yg sangat ana kasihi kerana Allah..Marilah kita kenali Yang Maha Pencipta, Maha Pemilik cinta yg hakiki. Mari kita cari peluang untuk akrab denganNya. Mari kita mulakan langkah untuk mendekatiNya kerana ketahuilah bahawa Allah lebih hampir dengan kita, lebih hampir drpd apa yg kita jangkakan..

"Apabila kamu mengingatiKu maka Aku pasti mengingatimu.." Al-Baqarah:152

dan ana pasti antum tahu kan bahawa hanya padaNya selayaknya kita berserah diri, bergantung harapan, mohon perlindungan..

"Kamilah pelindung kamu dalam kehidupan di dunia dan Akhirat.." Fussilat:81

Penggunaan "Kami" di sini Allah maksudkan Allah yg bersifat sempurna ZatNya dengan nama-namaNya yg indah. MasyaAllah.. Tak mahukah kita berada di bawah naungan rahmatNya, perlindunganNya yg Maha Sempurna? Ada lagi kah yg lebih baik dari janji-janji Allah wahai sahabat2 yg ana hormati sekalian? Semoga Allah memuliakan kita di dunia dan Akhirat..

Ya Allah ya Waduud.. Kau anugerahkan rasa kasih dan sayang dalam hati kami, moga tiada lagi kezaliman dan hasad..

Ya Allah.. Telah ku cuba mengenaliMu, dengan memahami nama-namaMu, mengingatiMu semampuku. Namun aku sedar, tak mudah rupanya memahamiMu ya Rabbi kecuali Engkau sendiri ya Rabbi. Oleh itu, aku memohon redaMu supaya aku terus tsabat dan sabar dalam menuju Makrifatullah. Ya Allah, berikanlah aku peluang untuk merasai nikmat mengenaliMu supaya dapat aku merasai nikmat mencintaiMu..

ANA MAHUKAN CINTA ALLAH. ANTUM PULA BAGAIMANA?

Ha. Sebelum antum semua fikir lebih jauh, meh ana nak terangkan situasi yg dimaksudkan di atas dulu..

Betul ke bila kita banyak habiskan masa, bergaul, menyibukkan diri dengan manusia akn membuatkan kita semakin lupakan/jauh drpd Allah yg tercinta..? Tambah pule, keadaan masyarakat di situ sendiri tiada biah solehah.. kalau berhadapan dengan keadaan ni, apa yg perlu dilakukan?

Amat baik jikalau pertemuan atau byk ber'meeting' dengan tujuan mengingatkan kita semua pd Allah yg tercinta.. Tapi kalau meeting tu tak mendatangkan rasa "Allah yg tercinta sentiasa mengetahui, mengawasi dan memerhatikan kita" sebaliknya menambah rasa lalai dan lagha, macam mana ye? Mungkin kita sendiri mampu wujudkan suasana tu tp secara praktikalnya, macam mana ye..?

Sangat berbesar hati kalau antum semua dapat berkongsi pendapat mengenai persoalan2 ni..

Segala puji bagi Allah, Pencipta sekalian alam..
Semoga diri kita dalam keadaan yg sihat.
Bgtu juga hati, moga2 hidup sentiasa..

Melihatkan keadaan dunia hari ini, hanya menambahkan pedih hati. Sedih, sayu hati memikirkan keadaan kakak2, abang2, sahabat2,adik2 yg mengadu, KETANDUSAN CINTA. Manusia kematian hati menagih cinta sesama mereka yg tiada penghujungnya bilamana hati tidak diajak mengenal Sang Pemilik cinta yg hakiki yakni Allah.

Meletakkan cinta manusia melebihi segala-galanya bukan penyelesaian. Mana mungkin pula cinta itu boleh menandingi cinta ilahi. Tidak sewajarnya juga, cinta ini dicari. Yakinlah dengan janji2 Allah. Bukankah Allah tidak pernah memungkiri janji? (^_^)

"Perempuan2 yg keji untuk lelaki yg keji, dan lelaki yg keji untuk perempuan yg keji (pula) sedangkan perempuan2 yg baik untuk lelaki yg baik, dan lelaki yg baik untuk perempuan yg baik (pula).." (An-Nur, 24:26)

Yg baik untuk yg baik juga.. Yakinlah, di saat ini, meskipun Allah belum ketemukan kita dengan si dia, bersabarlah. Mungkin dia juga sedang ditarbiyah Allah, sedang dipersiapkan Allah untuk menjadi sebaik2 insan buat diri kita di sini. Cuma sekarang bukan masanya lagi untuk dipertemukanNya. Jadi, tiada ruginya jika kita juga
memperkemaskan diri menjadi hambaNya yg soleh/solehah (pertingkatkan dan perbaiki ibadah, akhlak, dan yg seumpamanya) dan menjadi sebaik2 insan buat si dia.

Sememangnya fitrah, kehendak hati mahu mmenyayangi-disayangi; tidak terkecuali diri yg hina ini..

Kata seorang sahabat ana, "Cintakan manusia ni jangan sesekali bila cintakan Allah belum dirasai. Dan cintakan Allah ni hadir hanya setelah kita mengenali dan mencintai diri sendiri.."
KENALI DIRI- CINTA ALLAH.. Layakkah diri ini mencintai selainNya? Dgn hati yg Allah pinjamkan ni? Layakkah? Allah Taala telah berfirman(d dalam hadis Qudsi) :

"Tidak ada suatu cara yg lebih sesuai utk hambaKU menghampirkan dirinya kpdKu dgn seumpama mereka melakukan ibadat yg Aku fardukan ke atas mereka. Dan senantiasa seorang hamba menghampirkan diri kpdKu dgn menambah amalan2 sunat (setelah mereka melakukan yg fardu) sehingga Aku mencintainya, maka apabila Aku telah mencintainya, Akulah pendengaran yg ia mendengar dengannya & Akulah penglihatan yg dia melihat dengannya & Akulah lidahnya yg ia bercakap dengannya & Akulah tangannya yg ia menyentuh dengannya & Akulah kakinya yg ia berjalan dengannya.." (HR Bukhari drpd Abu Hurairah)

Ya Allah, izinkan diri yg kerdil lg hina ini menjadi hamba yg dicintaiMu!...
Sekalipun tidak sedalam cinta Rabiatul adawiyah,
Sekalipun tidak seteguh iman si asiah:ratu Syahadah,
Sekalipun tidak semulia Fatimah Az-zahra
Sekalipun tidak setulus Khadijah..
Izinkan hambaMu ini mencintai dan dicintaiMu ya Allah..

Di saat ramai manusia dahaga mencari cinta sesama mereka, rasa ingin disayangi, menyayangi, diri ini juga turut merasai perkara yg sama: mahu mencintai dan dicintai. Tp bukan lg dengan makhluk, sebaliknya Allah dan RasulNya..

CUKUPLAH HANYA ALLAH BAGIKU..

Hati yang Hidup

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Alhamdulillah.. Hari ni Allah masih memberikan pluang untuk kita bernafas.. Dah berminggu-minggu ana dengar berita kematian drpda sahabat2, keluarga.. Buat diri yg hina ni tertanya-tanya, "Aku ni bila lagi ye..."

Mati..Mati..Mati..Mati.. Suka ana ulang banyak kali. Macam mana ye rasanya mati? Slpas tu kita akan menghadap Allah kan? Hmm..macam mana ye nak hadap Allah sedangkan keadaan hati ni...cukup hanya Allah yg tau.

Ana bukan mengharapkan pape dlm ruangan kali ni. Jauh skali nak men"CaPub".. Cuma nak merungkaikan persoalan yg seringkali dianggap remeh oleh kebanyakan drpd kita, pd kebanyakan masa.

Bermula drpd rasa kosongnya hati.. Satu rasa yg ana andaikan kerap kali dirasakan oleh ramai orang yg kemudiannya diisi dengan macam2 la. Time ni memang terserlah sungguh kreativiti masing2 dlm usaha mencari pengisian tu.. Memang kreatif dan inovatif.

Tengok cite2 Korea, cite2 Jepun.. Memang2, pelakon dia memang comei2,hensem.. "Ala.. Apa salahnya tengok jap, tengok ciptaan Allah. Kita puji Allah jugak tengok diorang karang. Banyak pengajaran pun dalam cite ni.. Kita amik yg elok2 je.." Hm.. Boleh ke macam tu? Tapi klu sampai dah azan masih...... Macam mana ye? Takpe2. Tengok puas2. Puji Allah bebanyak kat situ..Yg lain, memang bagus sahabat2 yg bangun menyegerakan solat ni. Alhamdulillah..

Ada lagi..

Baca novel? Novel apa? Tautan Hati, Pemilik Cintaku Setelah Allah dan Rasul, Salju Sakinah,,......... Alhamdulillah.. Baguih2.. Dapat menjana perkembangan vocab & sastera Melayu kita ye dak? Tp.. novel yg semacam tu.....macam mana ye? Tau novel yg semacam tu macam mana? Yg buat pembaca2 setianya tersenyum sorang2, ketawa sorang2.. Yg parahnya, angau la pastu, sorang2.. Mana tak nya, baca novel cintan-cintun.. Yg islamik tu, Alhamdulillah.. Sarat dengan hikmah, Boleh la dijadikan satu medium peningkatan iman; cintakan Allah, cinta yg slainnya juga keranaNya.. Tp yg bikin angau tu.. Boleh isi kekosongan hati ye? Cuma takut tertipu dengan janji2 dunia yg bersifat sementara. Cinta selain keranaNya, takkan kekal. Malah menjanjikan banyak tipu daya juga buat tambah lagha sebenarnya wahai sahabat2ku sekalian..

Lagi2?

Banyak.. Join usrah, halaqah, ceramah2, forum2..Senang cerita, pergi je semua majlis ilmu selagi mana kaki masih mampu melangkah.. Takpun, ada yg dia sendiri bagi ceramah, jadi naqib & naqibah. Dengar dia bercakap, Subhanallah.. Mantap2.. Tak kurang juga yg berapi-api cakapnya. Cuma tak faham dengan yg sesetengah ni, pas balik bilik, duduk lepak2, ketawa terbahak2. Lupa dunia.. Yg terbungkang tidur tu, qailullah katanya.. Berjam2 lak tu. Erk? Macam familiar je

Lagi..

Tahajud, tadabbur Al-Quran, solat, riadhah... Banyak2.. tak habis ana nak menaip ni nanti..

Semuanya bergantung pada macam mana kita nak isi hati tu. Yg positif pengisiannya, Alhamdulillah.. Yg negatif tu..?? Sahabat2 yg ku kasihi keranaNya, sama2 la kita perbaiki diri..

Persoalannya sekarang, macam mana nak isi kekosongan hati? Macam mana nak hidupkan kembali hati yg mati? Hati ni kalau rosak dan tercemar dgn benda yg Allah x suka akan menyebabkan hati kita jd gelap, susah nanti nak dapat hidayah Allah.. Jd, macam mana ye nak ubati hati ni?

Pertama, KENALI HATI..

Hati ni ada 3 jenis; 1. Qalbun Sahih (hati yg suci). Bila memperkatakan hati yg suci ni, ianya bermakna hati tu bersih, sihat dan bebas dr segala gangguan yg boleh menyebabkan si empunya hati menentang perintah dan larangan Allah s.w.t.. 2. Qalbun Mayyit (hati yg mati). Nafsu dan syaitan ni slalu je berebut tempat di hati manusia. Pabila hati kita ni dah dikuasai, ditawan, alamatnya payah le nak mengikut perintah Allah swt dan RasulNya. Sebaliknya lebih mudah menuruti kehendak nafsu dan syaitan.. 3. Qalbun Maridh (hati yg sakit).. Hati jenis ni hidup tp dah mula menyimpan benih2 penyakit. Kadang2 sihat, kadang2 tu bila x sihat, akan jd x menentu.. Ada ketikanya utamakan dunia, cintakan dunia, ikut nafsu, tamak, dengki, takabbur..Senang cite, semua penyakit hati-yg bule mengakibatkan hati mati. Bahaya2.. Naudzubillah..

Hati kita ni kategori yg mana ye?

Kedua.. CARI PUNCA..
RACUN yg berpunca dari LIDAH..
1. Berlebih-lebihan dalam berbicara..

"Janganlah banyak berkata-kata selain ZIKRULLAH krna ia membuat hatimu menjadi keras dan orang yg terhindar jauh drpd Allah adalah orang yg memiliki hati yg keras." H.R Tirmizi

2. Mungumpat, memfitnah, mengadu domba..

3. Berlebihan dalam pergaulan.. Pergaulan bebas antara muslimin dan muslimat,tidak memelihara kehormatan diri dr segi pemakaian, tingkah laku, adab, cara percakapan dan byk lg..

RACUN yg berpunca dr MATA..

1. Berlebihan dalam melihat sesuatu..

"Katakanlah kepada lelaki yg beriman spya mereka menutup pemandangan mereka drpd melihat yg terlarang dan menjaga kehormatannya drpd kejahatan (jgn berzina). Demikianlah y sebaik2nya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yg mereka kerjakan.." Surah An-Nur:30

Jika terpandang yg haram secara tak sengaja dimaafkan tp kalau pandangan tu diulang buat kali kedua, sengaja pula.....tak boleh..tak boleh.. Berdosa.. Zina kan semuanya bermula dengan pandangan yg berlebihan, yg tak terjaga?
RACUN yg berpunca dr PERUT..

1. Berlebihan ketika makan..

"Jangan banyak makan dan tidur kerana pd hari akhirat nanti, mereka akan miskin amal solehnya ketika bertemu Allah.."

Yg pastinya, bila kita terlalu kenyang, mesti mengantuk kan? Akibatnya, kita akan banyak tidur kemudiannya.. Rasulullah s.a.w yg tercinta pun makan bila rasa lapar dan berhenti sebelum baginda rasa kenyang! Malah, Rasulullah s.a.w yg tercinta juga pernah bersabda yg bermaksud:

"Orang yg paling kenyang makan di dunia akan menjadi paling lapar pada hari akhirat.." H.R al-Hakim..

Jadi.. Banyak benda kita kena consider in doing something.. Banyak juga tip2 MENGUBATI dan MENGHIDUPKAN hati yg berpenyakit dan mati ni..

TIP2 MENGUBATI HATI:
1. Sentiasa berbaik sangka
2. Buang segala hasad dengki
3. Ukirkan senyuman.. Senyum sokmo!
4. Sentiasa merendah diri
5. Hiasi diri dengan sikap pemaaf..
6. Ikhlas..
7. Sentiasa menghadiri majlis ilmu!!
8. Jangan tinggalkan ibadat!! (Ibadat khusus, ibadat umum..)

TIP2 MENGHIDUPKAN HATI pula....:
1. Taubat Nasuha..
2. Hindari stres!
3. Sentiasa bersifat redha~
4. Hiasi diri dengan sifat pemalu (Al-Haya')
5. Rajin berzikir dan baca-tadabbur Al-Quran
6. Sentiasa ingat mati.. Kalau susah jugak, p la melawat kubur nak amik feel..
7. Ziarah orang miskin, orang sakit..
8. Sentiasa menghadiri majlis ilmu
9. Berdamping dengan para ulama
10. Banyakkan berselawat..

Kemudiannya, wahai sahabat2 sekalian..hati yg telah diubati dan dihidupkan ni, kena jaga.. supaya tak sakit dan mati lg..Kuncinya?

JAGA PERUT. JAGA MATA. JAGA LIDAH. KAWAL NAFSU

InsyaAllah.. Allah kan ada? Doa pd Nya semoga hati kita terpelihara..

Sebagai seorang insan yg punyai banyak kekurangan diri, ana nak mengajak sahabat2 sekalian, sama2lah kita saling berpesan dan mengingatkan diri pdNya.. Sama2lah kita berusaha mengingatkan hati kita pd kebesaranNya.. Sama2lah kita menghidupkan hati. Wahai sahabat2 ana, diri ni sangat lemah. Kekuatan datang drpd Allah.. Cuma ana mengharapkan kalian mampu menjadi wasilah. Di saat kecundang dalam meniti perjalanan hidup untuk terus mengenaliNya, mencari redhaNya, jadilah kalian sebagai sahabat yg menguatkan. Bila diri kita ni terlalu gembira, sesama lah mengingatkan akan azabnya yg keras bagi orang2 yg lalai dr mengingatinya. Bila kesedihan, ingatkan pula akan rahmatNya, kasih sayangNya yg meluas melebihi segala2nya. Agar kita dapat terus bergantung & mengharap pdNya.. Sehingga dapat juga kita rasakan, cukuplah hanya Allah bg dri ini.. Dengan harapan, tiada pape pun yg dapat mengganti.. CUKUP HANYA ALLAH BAGIKU..

All Because of Allah??

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Hm..Learning stat and maths this morning has made me wonder the whole day long,

How is it to have an intention(a strong one) of doing everything-ONLY because of Allah? Am i having this intention in everything i do? Is everything-FULLY done because HIM? Only HIM?

A BIG QUESTION MARK here, for me and perhaps to all of us..

I used to have this kind of thoughts in mind: to be close to Allah is to study what so called- Ilmu Agama only. Yup. That's what i USED to think of. I couldn't relate other courses or programmes or subjects with Islam itself. Couldn't even see the beauty of Islam from this perspective. The 1st day i came to cfsiium nilai, i could only see IRK as the only way to get to know Islam better.(but it was before..) I'm not qualified to take that course anyway..
I couln't relate Econs with Islam.Not at all! Until one day, a good friend of mine reminded me of one thing, "Islam is Syumul la Alyaa.."

Islam is syumul, perfect. Yup! That has helped a lot.. Ok, my fault. I've heard about this before but never bother to adapt it in daily life. Rugi2.. (TQ my fella! For reminding me..)

Alyaa, it's the time for you to prove to yourself that Islam truly is syumul in everything!

I was a science student(back in school time- f4 and f5)-which explains why did i have problem in finding out how to relate Econs and Islam at the 1st place. I learnt biology, chemistry, add maths, physics,etc.. And during those days, i could see how beautiful has Allah created everything in this world. Especially Biology. (Wah! i just love Biology!) Subhanallah! It was just beautiful on how HE creates human beings, other organisms and so on.. But really, why couldn't i relate econs with Islam before this?

Alhamdulillah. Today i'm able to see ISLAM in everything i do! In Maths..In Statistics..In everything i'm learning for now! I just came to realize that, yes, every field of studies, the knowledge...came fom Allah. He is the only All-knowing.. He knows everything, every SINGLE, tiny, invisible(what else?) thing.. And He is The Owner of All Creation. He is the starter of everything!

For Maths as an example, It is amazing on how human can solve all those complicated calculation by just using those formulae n methods invented. Now let's think the other way round..

We are amazed with those intelligent people. Then, why don't we feel amazed of THE CREATOR of 'these intelligent people' when the intelligence is gifted by Allah- The Creator?

Wah..Pandainya diorang ni..
Hebat2.. Banyak benda diorang boleh buat..
Tapi Allah yg cipta kita semua..
Allah yg ilhamkan semua perkara pd hmba2Nya..
Wah! Kalau camtu..
Allah lg hebat!

Subhanallah.. Isn't HE The Greatest.....?

Ok ok.. Back to our main issue, "How to do everything because Allah?"

Like what my friends usually remind me of is by knowing that..

HE SEES US
HE'S LISTENING
HE'S WATCHING OVER US
HE KNOWS EVERYTHING!

Thus, it's a shame to do something that Allah doesn't like..
Malu..Malu..

Let's think this way..

Let's say.. you have a cellphone and you're using postpaid. Every month, you'll receive your phone bill. ok, that's for your cellphone.

At the same time, you have your own house.. You're working. Already have a job. Then all bills come together at the same time: Bills for the electricity, water, rent, etc..

Surely you're gonna have trouble in paying all these bills. Might make you wonder, "For what have i used all these? Why are there so many bills. Plus, they are too much to pay!"

Aha!

What if one day, you received more bills and they were all from HIM..
Hearing bill
Talking bill
Seeing bill
Oxygen bill
........... bill
........... bill

Can you pay all these??!!

Alamak. Malu pulak dengan Allah..
I've been using all these during all this time (tertunggak bilnya kalau dikira!).. have i been using all these because of HIM?? (legs to walk to class to get Allah's blessing.. Hands to help people in needs.. Eyes to see the wonderful creation of His.. Everything to do because of Him! But has everything being done ONLY because of Him...? Wah! So sad!)

Ya Allah.. Help us, guide us to the right path.. Show us the right way.. We really need Your Guidance as it's only You who knows all the rights n wrongs.. We can only plan for the good things to happen but ya Allah, You know the best..

Hidayah ni boleh datang dalam plbagai bentuk dan cara..

Ada yg thru mimpi..
Ada yg 'terhantuk bru tergadah'..( tu la. degil sgt..)
Tak kurang juga ada yg terkesan dgn nasihat dan teguran pihak sekelilingnya..

Kesimpulannya, "macam2 ada.."

Bila hati terdetik nak mulakan sesuatu perkara yg baik..jangan dilengah-lengahkan lg..
"Ah, tak payah pikir byk2. buat je!"
Bukan apa.. nanti tak jadi benda tu bila dah byk sangat fikirnya..

Perkara yg Allah suka..

Jom kita berlumba mengejar pahala!
Cuba sedaya mungkin nak lakukan yg terbaik dalam menampilkan dri berhadapan dgnNya..

Perkara yg Allah tak suka pula..
JGN BUAT!! Learn to say "NO"
NO..NO..NO..
Allah tak suka..
Nanti Allah X redha..
Kan dah susah nak dapatkan Cnta Allah?
Apatah lg nak merinduiNya..

Sentiasalah berpesan pada diri..

"Saya nak jadi HEBAT! Supaya Allah sayang.."
Hebat dalam semua perkara..
Ibadah, pencapaian akademik, dan sebagainya..

"Saya nak cinta Allah! Supaya Allah juga cintakan saya.."
Tapi mana mgkin hal ni tercapai bilamana hati dah dinodai cinta manusia yg malalaikan?

"Ya Allah.. Nak rindukan Allah setiap waktu.."
Supaya setiap perkara yg dilakukan, sentiasa merasakan Allah bersama..
Sehinggakan, setiap pggilan untuk menghadapNya, EXCITED tak terkata..
Maklumlah.. Nak menghadap yg TERcinta..

Sungguh..
Hidayah yg Allah anugerahkan tu..
Betul2 MAHAL nilainya..
Jd bg yg beroleh hidayah Allah tu,
ketahuilah bahawa anda adalah d antara hmbaNya yg terpilih..
Hargai, genggam erat2, jangan sampai terlepas..
Manisnya rasa bila hati terpanggil, terkesan dengan hidayahNya..

"Dan orang yang bersungguh-sungguh kerana memenuhi kehendak kami, sesungguhnya Kami akan memimpin mereka ke jalan-jalan Kami (yang menjadikan mereka bergembira serta beroleh keredhaan); dan sesungguhnya (pertolongan dan bantuan) Allah adalah beserta orang2 yang berusaha membaiki amalannya.."
